Southwestern Michigan Association of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award
The Southwestern Michigan Association of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award recognizes Realtors® who make extraordinary commitments to improving the quality of life in their communities.
The winner will receive a grant toward the 501(C)(3) that they are affiliated with for the purpose of this award.
All Southwestern Michigan Association of Realtors® members can apply!

The Lighter Quicker Cheaper Challenge Grant
Thank you for your interest in the REALTOR® 2023 Lighter, Quicker, Cheaper (LQC). LQC is a low-cost high impact incremental framework for improving your community in short order. As a strategy, it has produced some of the world’s most successful public spaces, capitalizing on the creative energy of the community. LMC & SMC Scholarship Availability
Local college scholarships are available for SWMAR Members, their children and grand children. The Southwestern Michigan Association of REALTORS® has established scholarships Lake Michigan College and Southwestern Michigan College that can be awarded to any REALTOR or Affiliate Members, REALTOR® or Affiliate Member’s spouses, REALTOR® or Affiliate Member’s children, REALTOR® or Affiliate Member’s grand children. Recipients of the scholarships are not required to demonstrate financial need to apply for either scholarship and scholarship funds can be used for tuition, books, and other fees. The scholarship’s name at Lake Michigan College is the Harriet F. Upton Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship’s name at Southwestern Michigan College is the Southwestern Michigan Association of REALTORS Scholarship. Both scholarships are for $3,000.00.
Ombudsman Program
Ombudsman Procedures adopted by the Southwestern Michigan Association of REALTORS® (SWMAR) intend to provide enhanced communications and initial problem-solving capacity to the professional standards process. SWMAR is charged with the responsibility of receiving and resolving ethics complaints, and hearing arbitration disputes filed against its’ members. An Ombudsman can respond to general questions regarding real estate practices, transaction details, ethical practices and enforcement issues.
